Welcome!

My name is Denise Myer and I think being healthy is one of the most important aspects of our lives.  For me, being healthy means I can keep up with my grandchildren, enjoy the world around me, and live without struggling to get out of bed.

So just a bit of information for you to get to know me.  I am a wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, auntie, lover of music, and have my own travel agency.  And, I am a huge fan of MAHA.  I am not a doctor or a nutrition expert.  I am a constant researcher of food and nutrition and have been for over 50 years.  One of the books I use for information is “Good Energy” by Calle and Casey Means.  It is a wonderful resource and I highly recommend it.

I created this blog to share what I have learned.  For now, I will be posting once a month.  I want this blog to be informative and encouraging. I don’t want anyone to ever feel bad about themselves.  We are all God’s perfect children.

And we all have food demons – a favorite food we can’t resist, know that it is bad for us, but eat it anyway.  We are all human and that is ok as long as it is once in awhile and not a daily habit. Habits are hard to break, I know, but I hope this blog will help.

Each month I will not only provide information from the recent research I have been doing but also have a challenge.  Everything is optional.  Any information I provide, and any challenge, is for you take or disregard as you will.  My goal is to keep everyone motivated throughout the year.

Getting healthy is a journey, not a sprint.  It is not our fault that year after year we diet and exercise to control our weight and health only to find very little or nothing changes.  I hope this blog gives an understanding of why that happens.  So, let’s take this journey together. Challenge #1 is to make one or two goals to accomplish by the first of May.  Make your goal attainable and realistic.  Write your goal down and post it somewhere that will remind you of it daily.

So, get ready to get healthy!

A Santé!

Denise Myer
